Re: comfort milk
We used it, and it did make a difference with the colic. We've since found our little one has a milk allergy, so we're now on nutramigen... When we used it, you had to use size 2 teats as the milk is thicker. Don't panic if it makes her poo more diorreah (sp!) like, and green, cos that's normal!
Have you tried colief? That's supposed to be good, but we never got round to trying it.

No we didn't try it after the infracol, gripe water and gaviscon I really didn't want to keep trying things cos it all really seemed to upset her stomach.
Was it your doctor who thought it could be milk alergies? Is there a test they do? I suggested this to my doc and they fobed me off.

Re: comfort milk
We were on the look out for symptoms of a milk allergy as I already have a 5 year old with the same thing.
His symptoms were vomiting after feeds, poor weight gain, being extremely unsettled, then later a constant cough, severe eczema, and constant infections (ear, chest, wherever)...
So, when she started vomiting after milk and being really unsettled, I asked to switch her to a prescription formula before it got awful again.
The plan is to restart her on normal formula in a couple of weeks to see what happens. If she reacts in the same way, she'll be taken off dairy/milk products completely.
You can ask to be referred to a paediatrician if your GP won't listen to your concerns. In the end, as they wouldn't listen to me about my son (he was 9 months old by then!) I paid for private allergy testing. Not ideal, but necessary.

That's awful why don't docs listen to mums a little we know our little ones better than anyone. I wouldn't have been happy if I had to pay for a test.
