Weaning our babies...

What are your plans for weaning? Rhys is quite a big boy and drinks alot of milk, 8oz bottles 4/5 times a day, he ould probably have more if i let him. I used to work in childcare so have lots of friends who are nannys, nursery nurses etc and they all weaned their children at 3 months, i feel Rhys is ready for a little baby rice but am so unsure what to do.x

ill be waiting until 6 months. there are alot of food allergies in my family, and i really don't want to introduce her to something to early that could end up giving her an allergy

when i was pregnant i said i would wait till sophie was six months, but she's at big baby 13 pound 9 at 9 weeks and i cant see here going that long ill try to hang on as long as i can though. both sides of the family dont have any alergies or anything like that but i would still be a little worried this early on. end on the day though hun you know your baby better than anyone you know whats right.

i started Bethany on baby rice dead on 4 months. i personally wouldnt start it any earlier as i dont see their digestive system handling it. Saying that though i also wouldnt last till 6 months as from all the babies i know none have made it to six month without needed something more. i think 4 - 5 months is a good age. Also all jarred food in the shops says from 4 months and has been researched so it cant do that much harm.

I might give it a couple of weeks then and start slowly on just some baby rice thanks for your opinions.xx

yea i started Mia on baby rice when she was 4 months
I dont think I will start Charlie any earlier than that, but we will have to see how he goes, at the minute he is on 7oz bottles every 4 hours so think he will hang on for at least another 2 months or so
